Each month JRM sets money aside to assist those in the community who need help with rent, energy assistance, water bills, etc. These funds are distributed on a first come, first served basis. Money is never given directly to the person(s) in need. Instead, checks are sent to the agency or organization to cover the assistance (example: Landlord, WPS). All recipients and their addresses are verified through available agencies.

One new criteria has been implemented; those receiving aid must be referred to JRM by people we know and trust and the referral is verified. This new criteria helps to assure that assistance is used for the intended needs. All efforts are made to insure funds are being used not only as intended, but also that they are not being used for illegal or immoral purposes. Last year Jericho Road Ministries assisted 178 families through the Good Samaritan Fund.
