Generation In Faith Together
Where we are family for those who have none,
healthy family for the broken,
and a place of mission for the healthy family.

Martin Luther in the time of the reformation found the greatest need was faith in the home. He saw the command of Deuteronomy 6 as key in his day as well as ours. There is a great gift when generations grow in sharing their faith, and relationships with Jesus in the center. Moses tells us in Deuteronomy 6:

“Hear, O Israel: The Lord our God, the Lord is one. You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your might. And these words that I command you today shall be on your heart. You shall teach them diligently to your children, and shall talk of them when you sit in your house, and when you walk by the way, and when you lie down, and when you rise. You shall bind them as a sign on your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes. You shall write them on the doorposts of your house and on your gates.”

In GIFT we aim to grow together to believe and share that “God made me, God loves me, and Jesus wants to be my friend for ever.” This leads to believing and living, “I need to make wise decisions, I can trust God no mater what, and I should treat others the way I want to be treated.” As we grow in our faith we then walk in and acknowledge, “I am created to pursue an authentic relationship with my creator, I belong to Jesus and define who I am by what He says, and I exist everyday to demonstrate God’s love to a broken world.”

May we grow together in the gifts of God as gather across generations in faith together.
